Track Record of Student Success

Since 1967, the ABS department has granted over 450 Ph.D. degrees. Our alumni are leaders in the field of behavior analysis, behavior therapy, autism, developmental disabilities, behavioral medicine, independent living, and behavioral pharmacology. In the last 5 years 100% of our Master's degree recipients have secured professional employment in a range of health and public service settings. Likewise, our recent Ph.D. recipients have successfully pursued academic, research, and applied careers.

  • The Department of Applied Behavioral Science has always had one of the largest and most productive behavior analysis faculty in the world with the departments' founding faculty members Donald Baer and Montrose Wolf.
  • In 2000, the ABS department was the first department in the world to be recognized by the Association for Behavior Analysis with its award for Enduring Programmatic Contribution to behavior analysis.

  • Currently the ABS department has 18 regular faculty members and 59 adjunct and courtesy faculty. This diversity of experiences and areas of expertise ensures our graduate students comprehensive training in behavior analysis.

  • Members of our faculty have previously or currently serve as editors or associate editors for the flagship journals in behavior analysis, including:
  • Several of our faculty members have been recognized with local and national awards in teaching and scholarly research.
